I looked online at reviews for many different soft structured carriers. I had tried the front carriers like baby bjorn but those are not useful once baby gets heavy, so for my 10 month old who weighs 20 pounds I wanted a back carrier. I looked into Ergo also but because the Beco Gemini also does hip carry, front outward/inward carry, in addition to back carry so I chose the Gemini.
